Overview

Jackson Training Center was established in 2005, in Homestead, Fl.  A family-owned training facility, our vision is to be recognized as a premier healthcare training facility in South Dade.  JTC is a State Approved Regional Testing Facility.  Our students train here and test here!

Nursing Assistant Program

 The CNA program follows the State curriculum requirements for nursing assistant certification.  The program prepares students for the certification exam.  Once certified, they are ready for an entry-level position in the health care setting. Students gain knowledge and learn skills to care for patients of various age groups during acute and chronic stages of diseases, rehabilitation, as well as how to maintain health during  the normal aging process.  Included in the curriculum are patients’ rights, patient/personal safety, HIPAA, abuse/domestic violence, dementia/alzheimiers, HIV/AIDS and OSHA/Infection Control.  In addition, 22 basic bedside nursing skills are taught by a live instructor.  Skills are practiced in the program laboratory equipped with all the same tools used in the State Exam.
